Lot 73:
Description
A single occasional table executed in the French Louis XVI style. Constructed of wood, finished in a dark reddish-brown mahogany stain with a high-gloss lacquer. The circular top sits above a deep frieze featuring multiple horizontal mouldings. The table is supported by four tapered, fluted legs, each junction adorned with a small carved block featuring a stylized classical or foliate motif. The legs are tapered and fluted, terminating in simple feet. While many comparable market examples of this style feature marble tops and bronze mounts, this piece retains its finished wood top. No visible manufacturer markings or inscriptions are present.
