Description
A 1995 United Kingdom silver proof two pound coin issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations. Struck in 925 silver, the reverse features a design depicting a fan of flags surmounted by the United Nations emblem, with the inscriptions 1945-1995 and UNITED NATIONS FOR PEACE. The coin is housed in a protective clear acrylic capsule and presented in its original green textured presentation case with a black velvet-lined interior. The lot includes the original certificate of authenticity and an accompanying informational leaflet.
