A single presentation set containing the Royal Mint 2000 Queen Mother Centenary Silver Piedfort Crown. The coin is struck to Proof quality and commemorates the 100th birthday of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. The coin is confirmed to be Sterling 925 silver. The obverse displays a double portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother, inscribed QUEEN ELIZABETH II 2000 and THE QUEEN MOTHER FIVE POUNDS. The coin is housed in its original dark green velvet-covered hinged presentation box, complete with a black velour-lined interior and the official Certificate of Authenticity booklet issued by the Royal Mint. Piedfort coins are struck on thicker blanks than standard issues.
