Description
An Indian Dhokra lost wax cast bronze rice measure bowl, typically associated with the Odisha region. The vessel is of globular form featuring extensive hand-incised geometric decoration. The exterior body is adorned with horizontal bands of vertical hatching, cross-hatching, and diagonal lines, punctuated by four raised, stylized leaf-shaped motifs around the shoulder. The base is finished with a series of concentric circles surrounding a central cross-like pattern. The piece is constructed using the traditional lost wax casting technique and displays a warm, golden patina.
