This walking stick features a spherical off-white knob constructed from an organic material or early synthetic. The top of the knob is inset with a small circular compass housed within a metal bezel. The compass face is marked with the Chinese character 南 (Nán), signifying South. The knob is joined to a dark ebonised wooden shaft by a narrow metal collar.
