Description
A collection of player piano music rolls and associated storage boxes from The Aeolian Company, Ltd. and The British Autoplayer Co., Ltd. The rolls are constructed of perforated paper wound onto black spools. The paper leaders feature printed decorative borders, musical titles, and instructions for use. Specific titles include the Raymond Overture by Thomas, designated as an Eighty-Eight Note roll (S 9772), and a fox trot titled I L O (A voice from Mummy Land) by J. S. Black, marked as a Themodist roll (T24222A). The storage boxes are made of cardboard with a textured dark grey or brown paper exterior. Labels on the boxes and rolls identify the manufacturers, including addresses at 126 New Bond Street, London, W.1.
