Lot 320:
Description
An ancient bronze coin, likely a late Roman or Byzantine nummus, struck in a copper alloy with a dark patina. The obverse depicts a right-facing profile bust, which is heavily worn and lacks discernible features. The reverse displays a prominent Chi-Rho christogram. The object is of an irregular circular form with worn, rounded edges. Extensive environmental oxidation, pitting, and corrosion are present across both surfaces, obscuring any potential inscriptions or mint marks.
