Description
A single late-Victorian era British Crown coin, dated 1893. Struck in silver, the obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria, veiled and diademed, encircled by the Latin legend VICTORIA DEI GRA* BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP (Victoria, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India). The reverse displays Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic design of St. George on horseback slaying the Dragon, with the date 1893 centred below the exergue line. The coin has a standard milled edge.
