Description
A collection of Wedgwood bone china decorative plates from The David Shepherd Wildlife Collection. Produced in England and commissioned by Spink Modern Collections, these plates feature various wildlife subjects including a tiger, cheetahs, giraffes, and rhinoceroses. Each plate bears the printed signature of the artist, David Shepherd, within the illustration. The plates are finished with gilt-edged rims and are fitted with spring-loaded wire display hangers on the reverse. Backstamps provide the series title, specific species names such as Giraffe (Giraffa Camelopardalis), and indicate a worldwide limited edition of 25,000.
