A single commemorative token, identified by market consensus as a Lower Canada 1812 Wellington Peninsular War Halfpenny Token. Struck in a copper or bronze alloy, the token commemorates the victories of Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington. The obverse features a left-facing profile bust of Wellington, wearing a uniform and laurel wreath, encircled by the Latin inscription: WELLINGTON. HISPANIA ET LUSITANIA(M) RESTITUIT (Wellington restored Spain and Portugal). The reverse lists key Peninsular War victories and dates, including CIUDAD RODRIGO JAN 19.1812., BADAJOZ APRIL 2-1812., SALAMANCA JULY 22.1812., and MADRID AUG 12.1812.
