A large collection of British philatelic First Day Covers and commemorative envelopes, primarily dating from the late 1960s through to the 1980s. The items consist of paper envelopes featuring a wide array of commemorative and definitive postage stamps with corresponding first-day-of-issue postmarks from various locations including London, Belfast, and Windsor. Visible themes include British Birds (1980), Christmas 1973, the M.C.C. Bicentenary, and regional issues for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, with some bilingual text in Welsh including the phrase Amlynn Diwrnod Cyntaf. Many envelopes are addressed to the same recipient in South Yorkshire and are presented in multiple loose stacks.
