Lot 237:
Description
A pair of vintage portable lanterns offered for restoration or decorative display. This lot comprises two distinct styles of lighting accessories commonly used in classic camping or utility settings. The first lantern is a pressurised gas model, featuring a distressed light blue/teal colour metal head with a round glass globe and protective wire bail. This unit is currently attached to a disposable fuel canister, likely containing propane gas, which features partially legible warning labels including ‘HIGHLY FLAMMABLE’. The second lantern is an antique wick-style or hurricane lantern, heavily oxidised and covered in dark reddish-brown rust. Research suggests this style is consistent with early 20th-century manufacturers such as Dietz. It features a clear glass globe secured by a rusty wire frame. No specific manufacturer names, part numbers, or dates are legible on either item. Documentation: None present. Ownership history is unknown.
