Description
This lot comprises a large, tightly wound coil of galvanised steel barbed wire, presented on a makeshift wooden spool structure. The wire appears to be the standard commercial specification, likely a 12.5-gauge, double-strand configuration featuring four-point barbs. Based on industry standards and visual size, the roll is estimated to contain a full 1320-foot (quarter-mile) length. The wire is metallic grey and shows excellent preservation, suggesting unused or very lightly used condition. The spool assembly consists of two weathered dimensional lumber cross-pieces, with the top piece featuring a large, centrally drilled hole prepared for mounting onto a dispenser or axle. The coil is secured by a thick, woven brown webbing tensioning core. No manufacturer markings, part numbers, VIN, engine, transmission, or mileage are applicable or present.
