Description
A single figural brooch executed in the form of a dragonfly. The piece is constructed from silver-toned metal, likely plated, and is entirely paved with numerous round-cut, colourless paste stones or rhinestones covering the four wings and the segmented body. Two small red paste stones are set at the head/body juncture. The brooch is secured by a standard pin mechanism visible along the reverse. The item is presented in its original hinged black presentation box, which is lined internally with black velvet and champagne satin. The satin lining of the lid bears the gold-printed retailer inscription: Thomas Tillett & Co. / 17 St. Giles’ Street / Norwich NR2 1JL. This piece is characteristic of vintage costume jewellery designs.
