Description
A collection of Price Kensington Cottage Ware ceramic tableware. The group comprises a lidded teapot, a lidded biscuit barrel, a large jug, and a small cream jug with a matching saucer. Each piece is constructed from ceramic and decorated in the form of a traditional English thatched cottage with moulded brickwork and hand-painted polychrome details. The lids are designed as thatched roofs with chimney finials. The undersides of the pieces are marked with a green Price Kensington wreath stamp, MADE IN ENGLAND, COTTAGE WARE, and Reg. No. 845007. Several items also feature embossed MADE IN ENGLAND markings to the base.
