Description
A large English decorative ceramic vase dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, circa 1900. The vessel features ornate rococo-style scrolled handles, a scalloped rim, and a pedestal base, all finished with metallic gold-tone glaze highlights. The central body is decorated with a transfer-printed and hand-finished pastoral scene depicting a pair of workhorses and a figure in a rural landscape with a thatched cottage. The background consists of a gradient glaze transitioning from cream at the neck to a deep olive green at the base.
