Description
A hand-painted fine porcelain figurine produced by The Franklin Mint, titled Elizabeth’s Surprise and inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The figure is depicted in Regency-period attire, featuring a lavender-pink gown and holding a folding fan. She stands adjacent to a green pedestal decorated with classical swags, which supports a gold-toned five-light candelabra. The piece is mounted on an oval base with a tiled floor pattern and a wood-look rim. The underside of the base bears the printed inscription: Jane Austen’s Elizabeth’s Surprise from Pride and Prejudice, Limited Edition No. 1487 of 9500, Fine Porcelain, Hand Painted, TFM, Crafted in Malaysia. The lot includes an original pink informational pamphlet.
