Description
A single pendant necklace constructed of 925 silver, featuring a British Sixpence coin dated 1950 mounted in a decorative bail setting. The necklace is completed with a box-link chain. The coin has been customised with selective gold toning applied to the relief details. The reverse of the coin displays the central crowned monogram ‘G R’ (George Rex) and the surrounding text ‘SIXPENCE 1950’. The obverse features the effigy of King George VI, surrounded by the Latin inscription ‘GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP’ (George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India).
