A single rocking chair executed in the style of the Ercol Chairmakers model, often attributed to Lucian Ercolani. The chair features a high back composed of numerous vertical spindles supported by a bowed semi-circular top rail. The design incorporates substantial curved armrests that flow into the back structure, resting on angled supports. The seat is a wide, contoured saddle form, exhibiting visible hardwood grain beneath a very dark, espresso or ebony glossy stain. The entire structure rests on two curved hardwood runners typical of a rocking chair. The construction is consistent with Mid-Century modern interpretations of the traditional Windsor form. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible.
