A Victorian period music cabinet constructed of wood veneered in burr walnut. The cabinet features a single front-opening glazed door decorated with light wood stringing and intricate foliate marquetry inlay in the upper corners. The interior contains four fixed shelves, currently lined with a patterned material resembling densely printed text, consistent with storage for sheet music. The top surface is fitted with a three-sided brass rail gallery secured by brass finials at the corners. The base is fitted with small castors for mobility. No visible maker’s marks or legible inscriptions are present.
