A collection of twelve miniature wade ceramic animal figurines, commonly known as Wade Whimsies. These figures were manufactured by Wade England, often distributed as promotional items, notably through Red Rose Tea in North America. The lot includes a variety of wildlife and domestic animals, finished predominantly in a glossy, mottled tan and brown glaze, with some pieces featuring black or grayish-green accents. Specific figures present include a hedgehog, a hippopotamus, a pelican, a rabbit, a fawn or deer, two distinct fish models, a black horse, a Corgi dog, a small flying bird, a sheep or similar quadruped, and a seated kitten. Several pieces bear the impressed mark “WADE ENGLAND” or “WADE” on the base, confirming attribution.
