A commemorative medal struck for the 1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary. The circular medal is constructed of a gray base metal and features a suspension ring. The obverse displays the conjoined profile busts of the King and Queen, encircled by the inscription KING GEORGE V QUEEN MARY. The reverse features heraldic elements above the inscription TO COMMEMORATE THE SILVER JUBILEE OF KING GEORGE V & QUEEN MARY MAY 6TH 1935. The medal is housed in its original hinged presentation case, which has a reddish-brown exterior. The interior base is lined with green velvet, and the lid is lined with cream silk, stamped in gold with the retailer’s information: DANCE & DUERDEN.
