A 1972 Silver Proof Crown coin, issued to commemorate the 25th Wedding Anniversary (Silver Wedding) of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The coin is presented in its original dark green hinged display case and includes the original light tan informational card titled “The Crown.” The round, silver-toned metal coin is sealed within a clear plastic sleeve, consistent with its Proof designation. The obverse or reverse design features a central motif of quartered shields overlaid with crowns. The visible legend around the perimeter includes the inscription “ELIZABETH II D G REG F D” and the names “AND PHILIP,” confirming the subject and monarch.
