A single piece of jewelry comprising a British George III Silver Crown coin, dated 1819, mounted within a swivel brooch setting. The coin and mount are confirmed to be 925 silver. The obverse of the coin displays the laureate profile portrait of King George III facing right, encircled by the Latin legend GEORGIUS III D: G: BRITANNIARUM REX F: D: (George III, by the Grace of God, King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith), with the date 1819 below the bust. The reverse features the iconic St. George and the Dragon motif, surrounded by the French motto Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense (Shame be to him who thinks evil of it). The coin is held within a decorative, serrated swivel mount featuring approximately sixteen evenly spaced spherical studs around the outer rim. A hinged pin mechanism is affixed to the reverse of the mount. This coinage type is identified in numismatic references as KM 675.
