A single ceramic teapot with its accompanying lid, attributed to Hall China based on market consensus. The piece features a heavily crackled light blue exterior glaze and a contrasting dark brown glazed interior. The rim is unglazed earthenware. The exterior decoration is applied, featuring a band of polychrome hand-painted roses and foliage around the neck. The body is further adorned with white enamel beaded swags and a stylized central cross motif accented with orange and gold dots. Traces of gilt accents are visible on the spout tip and handle base. The lid is present and secured to the handle with coarse twine. No visible manufacturer’s marks or identifying text are apparent on the object surfaces shown.
