A heavy antique wooden sideboard or cabinet constructed of dark-stained oak in the English Jacobean Revival style, dating to the early 20th century (circa 1900-1930s). The structure features two shallow drawers positioned over two central cabinet doors. The facade is detailed with deeply cut relief carvings characteristic of the style, including stylized rosette motifs, fluted molding, and geometric panels. The drawers and doors are fitted with patinated metal ring handles. The piece is confirmed to be of English manufacture; the interior of the drawers is lined with modern decorative paper over which a partial “MADE IN ENGLAND” watermark is visible. This item is Western furniture and is not a Japanese tansu.
