A collection of six pieces of mid-century English bone china tea service, identified by market consensus as the Mottahedeh Apple Lace pattern. The collection comprises two teacups, two saucers, and two slightly scalloped square tea plates. The items feature a vibrant apple green color scheme overlaid with dense gold gilt transferware, displaying a fine floral or sprig pattern set against a stippled background. The rims and borders are accented by a decorative band of alternating green and gilt checkerboard squares. The reverse of one item bears a green triangular backstamp reading ST MICHAEL, CHINA, and MADE IN ENGLAND, indicating production for Marks & Spencer, along with a hand-painted number 569 in reddish-brown.
