Lot 195: A Pair of Vintage Engraved Brass Tankards

A pair of vintage handled vessels, identified by market comparables as brass tankards or mugs. Each vessel is crafted from polished yellow metal and features a flared rim, a tapering body, and a small pedestal base. The vessels are fitted with substantial stylized C-scroll handles. The exterior decoration consists of extensive etched or engraved decoration featuring stylized floral and vegetal motifs surrounding a central cartouche. No visible hallmarks, maker’s marks, or inscriptions are discernible. Market comparables suggest this style of engraved brassware is commonly associated with production in India or the Middle East.
