Lot 183: Mdina Glass Ovoid Brutalist Studio Art Glass Vase

A single Mdina studio art glass vase, featuring an ovoid or bulbous body tapering to a short neck and a wide, rolled rim. The vase is crafted from blown glass and exhibits the characteristic Brutalist style associated with the Maltese studio. The internal coloring features vibrant, swirling tones of fiery orange, deep red, and amber, accented by streaks of emerald green and teal. The exterior surface is finished with an applied or manipulated irregular, raised, web-like pattern, creating a textured relief finish. No visible signature or pontil mark is apparent on the base.
