Lot 178: Mdina Art Glass Studio Vase in Teal and Green Swirl

A single studio art glass vase attributed to Mdina Art Glass, Malta. The hand-blown glass features a bulbous body tapering to a defined neck and flared rim. The internal decoration is executed in vibrant, layered colors, primarily blue, turquoise, and bright green, accented by swirling streaks and controlled bubbled inclusions of opaque yellow or gold glass. The style is abstract and contemporary, consistent with the firm’s early production. The base is finished with a smooth pontil mark and retains a deep green/blue coloration. A small rectangular white adhesive label inscribed with the numeral “3” is affixed to the base.
