The chair features a solid, contoured plank seat, turned arm supports, and a backrest with turned stiles and four vertical splats. The most distinctive element is the arched crest rail of the back, which is adorned with incised carving depicting foliage, a central pineapple motif, and a sunburst or rosette detail. The frame is constructed with turned front and rear legs, connected by turned stretchers, all resting on curved rockers. The wood has a glossy finish.
