Lot 232: A Framed Collection of Seven Golden Era Mercedes SL Collector Cards

A framed collection of seven Golden Era Mercedes SL collector cards. Each card depicts a different Mercedes-Benz SL model, including ‘MERCEDES 280SL,’ ‘MERCEDES 300SL ROADSTER,’ ‘MERCEDES 350SL,’ and ‘MERCEDES 500SL.’ The central card provides context, stating ‘MERCEDES,’ ‘The classic Mercedes SL 1954-1989,’ and identifies the series as ‘A SERIES OF 9 COLLECTORS CARDS’ by ‘GOLDEN ERA.’ The cards are presented on a dark green mat within a rectangular wooden frame with a gold-tone inner border, protected by glass. The reverse of the cards, visible in the second image, features further text and is secured to the frame’s backing with metal clips and twine.
