A Sankyo Japan electric guitar shaped music box. Featuring a glossy red body with a prominent wood grain effect, a black neck and headstock with gold-toned decorative tuning pegs and strings, and several gold-toned control knobs. A black pickguard-like element on the body displays the word “SELECT” in gold lettering. The piece opens on two gold-toned hinges to reveal a red velvet-lined interior and a music box mechanism covered by a clear panel. Inscribed in gold script on an interior mirrored surface is the phrase: “I give good this music for good memory to you.” The music box mechanism itself bears the manufacturer’s mark “Sankyo JAPAN.”
