A vintage industrial or commercial counter balance scale, featuring a robust, likely cast iron base and beam mechanism. The scale is fitted with a large, worn galvanized metal weighing pan on one side and a flat circular platform on the other. The beam is clearly marked “TO WEIGH” and “14 LB.”, indicating its maximum capacity. Accompanying the scale are several weights, including a stack of smaller, rust-patinated cast iron weights positioned on the platform, and two additional octagonal cast iron weights placed beside the scale, one of which is clearly marked “5 KILOG.”
