A pair of ‘Clives Calls’ prints by Clive Garner, featuring the humorous, cartoon-style character ‘Barry’. Each print depicts a yellow/orange, pear-shaped character with stick legs on a white ground, accompanied by a handwritten caption. The left print shows Barry as a Viking with a horned helmet and spear, captioned “AFTER BEING TOLD HE WAS ‘TOO OLD’, BARRY DECIDED TO START HIS ‘SECOND CHILDHOOD’.” The right print depicts Barry wearing a beanie and holding a “BEAN” can, with the caption “BARRY STARTED TO HAVE HIS SUSPICIONS ABOUT THE MIDDLE FINGER HE HAD BEEN SOLD.” Both prints are mounted with colored matting, blue on the left and maroon on the right, and housed in simple wooden frames with glass fronts.
