The artwork depicts a bustling harbor scene with several large sailing ships, smaller rowboats, and a distant coastline featuring structures resembling windmills, executed in a style evocative of 17th to 19th-century European maritime painting. The artwork is housed within a broad, possibly stained or veneered wooden frame, accented by an inner border with a repeating decorative pattern suggestive of gilding. A faint, dark rectangular mark is noted in the lower-center foreground.
