A matching pair of East Asian porcelain vases, decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels against a rich cobalt blue ground. The decoration features an intricate naturalistic scene of various birds, including pheasants, perched among flowering trees and shrubs such as peonies and prunus blossoms, set against rocky outcrops. The flared rims and bases are further embellished with colorful decorative borders, including ruyi-like motifs and geometric patterns. No discernible maker’s marks or text are visible on the vases themselves.
