A pair of Franklin Mint ‘The Dance of the Celestial Dragon’ porcelain vases, dated 1985. Each vase features a flared rim, trumpet neck, a bulbous body, and a pedestal foot, decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels on a white ground. The design includes stylized dragons amidst clouds and flames on the body, geometric patterns around the shoulder and base, and floral motifs (specifically peonies) on the neck. They are presented on black wooden bases. The underside of one vase is marked in black script: “The DANCE of the CELESTIAL DRAGON”, “FINE PORCELAIN MADE IN CHINA”, “© FM 1985”, and includes a red stylized seal mark of the Chinese character 龍 (Lóng), meaning “dragon”.
