A pair of vintage industrial paraffin road lamps, comprising a lamp and its associated fuel container. The lamp features a square-bodied metal construction, painted yellow with extensive chipping and visible rust. It is fitted with four circular amber lenses and a bent metal carrying handle on its top. Markings on the lamp include “SUPPLIED BY”, “BS 3143 PT.1”, a circular emblem with a cross-like symbol, and a partial number “81 640 7621”. The accompanying fuel container is a cylindrical glass jar, its body hazy, enclosed by rusted metal strapping. It is topped with a heavily tarnished metal lid featuring a small capped spout. Both objects show significant wear and tear, consistent with age and practical use.
