Lot 65: A Set of J&G Meakin Royal Staffordshire 'Romantic England' Brown Transferware Coffee/Tea Wares

A set of J&G Meakin Royal Staffordshire ‘Romantic England’ brown transferware coffee or tea wares, comprising a lidded pot with a handle and spout, alongside four matching cups and their respective saucers. The items are uniformly decorated in brown transferware, featuring a repeating scenic design with prominent architectural structures and landscapes, bordered by a floral or foliate pattern on the rims. The specific style of transferware suggests a likely production period from the 19th to early 20th century. While no manufacturer’s marks or text are visible on the ceramics themselves, the material appears to be earthenware or ironstone.
