A pair of commemorative ceramic plates by Pear Tree Pottery, depicting All Saints C. of E. School, Laughton. Each plate features a central monochrome illustration of the stone building identified as “ALL SAINTS C. of E. SCHOOL, LAUGHTON,” drawn by Marianne Cox, with children visible outside. Above the illustration is a coat of arms displaying a red chevron with three animal heads, surmounted by a deer. The upper rim of both plates reads “The Oldest School in the County of South Yorkshire.” The lower plate also bears the inscription “Founded Elizabeth 1st.” and is adorned with small floral motifs, while the upper plate shows a partial “To” at the bottom. Both plates have decorative gilt scalloped rims. An informational text block beneath the illustration details the school’s founding between 1610 and 1619 by Anthony Eyre and Edmund Laughton, mentioning William Beckwith as a benefactor and its identity as the Beckwith Charity today.
