A set of fifteen British Farthing coins, identified by a handwritten label as a ‘GEORGE VI 1937 To 1952 FARTHINGS SET’. The coins are individually encapsulated in clear plastic sleeves and arranged in a three-row, five-column format within a larger, transparent storage page. Composed of bronze or copper, the coins display varying degrees of toning and iridescent patination. The reverse of each coin features a Wren design with ‘FARTHING’ visible, and dates such as 1949 and 1953 are discernible on some examples. The obverse bears a portrait of King George VI, encircled by the Latin inscription ‘GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP’. The encapsulations appear intact.
