A Copeland’s Spode’s Italian blue and white transferware bowl, decorated with an idealized pastoral landscape scene including architectural elements such as a bridge and a castle, surrounded by trees and a floral scroll border. The underside features a distinct blue oval maker’s mark that reads “COPELAND’S SPODE’S ITALIAN ENGLAND.” Accompanied by a set of six hardcover books, “The Reader’s Digest Digby Bedside Library,” presented in a light-colored slipcase. The individual volumes are titled “The Bedside Book of Biography,” “Adventure,” “Laughter,” “Discoveries,” “Nature,” and “The Art of Living,” numbered I-VI. The books feature light spines with varied colored title blocks.
