An Art Deco ceramic footed dish by Lancaster & Sons, Hanley. This small, rectangular, glazed ceramic dish features a brightly colored, stylized landscape band on its exterior, depicting trees, hills, and a river in blues, greens, oranges, and purples. This contrasts with an off-white rim and base, and a yellow interior. The item stands on four dark feet. The underside bears a faded, stylized factory or maker’s mark (resembling a building or shield) alongside the hand-painted or stamped number ‘426.’
