A large vintage industrial engineer’s square, constructed from ferrous metal and exhibiting a robust utilitarian style. The item comprises a thick, rectangular base with a recessed, dark-colored central channel, from which a tall, thinner blade extends perpendicularly. Faintly visible etched or stamped characters, possibly ‘BL 5824 – 2F,’ are present within the recessed channel on the base. A small white paper label bearing the number ‘353A’ (or ‘3534’) is adhered to the right side of the base.
