A distressed, dark-colored metal cash box, decorated with faded red and gold stripes, containing a varied collection of personal items. Contents include an open, gilded metal compact with a blank paper insert, and a small blue box bearing the text “MERRYTHOUGHT LIMITED EST. 1930 MADE IN ENGLAND” alongside a wishbone motif. Also present is a blue softcover book titled “BRITAIN’S FIRST DECIMAL COINS.” A wooden case within the box is stamped “BARR & SONS. GOLDSMITHS, SILVERSMITHS & JEWELLERS. 11, 12, & 13 King St, Covent Garden, LONDON. ESTABLISHED 1836. APPOINTED TO THE LATE QUEEN VICTORIA,” and houses a chrome-plated safety razor in a velvet-lined interior. The remaining items comprise a gold-toned square travel alarm clock marked “JAPAN,” a collection of wristwatches with both metal link and leather straps, a black beaded rosary with a crucifix, a silver-toned fob marked “STERLING,” and another fob depicting an eagle and “ONE DOLLAR.” A small red rectangular case is also included.
