Lot 65: A 'Lord of the Manor' Upholstered Footstool

A decorative footstool featuring a rectangular wooden frame with a stained or varnished finish, executed in a traditional or revival style. The frame includes a carved border with repeating circular and scroll motifs above four turned legs. The padded top is upholstered in a dark blue textile, likely needlepoint or tapestry, which prominently displays the gold-colored English text “LORD of the MANOR”. This text is framed by a patterned border featuring intertwining scrollwork and floral elements in green, gold, and red hues. Web intelligence suggests similar items, particularly cushions with this motif, were associated with the retailer Past Times.
