Lot 43: Ten Assorted Vintage Metal Buttons and a Pair of Linked Decorative Elements

This lot comprises ten assorted metal buttons and one pair of linked decorative elements. The buttons are crafted from both brass and silver-toned metals, varying in size and design. Specific examples include a button marked “AFS,” another bearing “POLICE FORCE” with a crown, an “EXPRESS DAIRY COMPY LTD” button featuring a train, and a “STOCKPORT FIRE BRIGADE” crest button. Two larger brass buttons display a royal coat of arms with the French mottoes “HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE” and “DIEU ET MON DROIT.” The linked pair comprises two round, coin-like pieces of antiqued brass, connected by a chain. These pieces are embossed with classical-style profiles and a lion-like creature, with partial Latin text including “ALEXANDER,” “MAGNUS,” and “REX.”
