An old Chinese carved Shoushan stone figure depicting Shouxing, the God of Longevity. The stylized, smiling, long-bearded male figure is carved from natural stone displaying variegated reddish-brown to creamy-beige hues with translucent qualities. The reverse features incised Chinese characters reading “第一壽星” (Dìyī Shòuxīng – First/Prime God of Longevity) followed by “福祿” (Fú Lù – Fortune and Prosperity). The base of the figurine is deeply carved with characters in an archaic seal script, functioning as a seal or chop, and contains significant remnants of dried, cracked red ink paste from previous use.
