An old Chinese bronze Fengshui roaring tiger figurine, depicting a powerful tiger dramatically posed on a rocky base. The material is bronze or a similar alloy, featuring a rich, dark patination with notable greenish verdigris in the recessed areas, consistent with age. On the front of the base, raised characters read ‘歲在庚寅’ (Suì zài Gēng Yín), translating to ‘In the year of Geng Yin’ (Year of the Tiger), indicating a specific cyclical year. The underside of the base bears an impressed rectangular seal mark, where characters like ‘榮華’ (Róng Huá – meaning ‘glory’ or ‘prosperity’) are partially discernible, suggesting a maker’s or workshop mark.
